INTRODUCTION
|
This project is located in the West Tripura District of the state of Tripura near the capital town of Agartala .The project runs on an Open Cycle Mode and consists of 4 Gas Turbines of 21 MW each of European Gas Turbine make operating on natural gas obtained from the gas fields in the vicinity. The Project has been financed through the budgetary support of the Government of India and partially through external commercial borrowings from the Deutsche Bank, Germany . The Project has been completed at a cost of Rs 322.55 Crores with a 50:50 debt equity ratio. The Project was completed in 1997-98 and it is presently in commercial operation.

• It is 45 minutes of flight time from Kolkata & 45 minutes from Guwahati. Agartala Air Port to Project Site Approx.2 2 KM by road via Agartala.
