Education |
|||
The Corporation provides schooling facility at project sites for children and wards of employees posted at Project sites where no schooling facility is available nearby. In addition, a good number of children of the neighbouring localities are also admitted to these Schools as a welfare measure, subject to availability of seats. The Vivekananda Kendra Shiksha Vibhag is the nodal agency for managing the Corporation Schools. These are English medium Schools of good academic standard affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education. |

| Health & Family Welfare |
|||
| The Corporation has well equipped Hospitals /dispensaries at its various Project sites manned by qualified Doctors. There are presently 16 Doctors posted at the various Projects and Head Quarters. These hospitals / dispensaries provide free treatment to the people of neighbouring villages also as a social welfare measure. In addition to the hospitals/dispensaries, the Corporation has approved 29 hospitals all over the country for treatment of employees and their dependent family members. There is also one consultant physician at Delhi . | |||

| Women's Forum |
|||
While the Corporation as a Public Sector Undertaking continues to play a pivotal role in the overall economic development, the active role of Women Employees in the Corporation is a reassuring indicator of social progress. The NEEPCO Women's Welfare Association has been doing commendable job in the area of welfare of NEEPCO Employees and women employees in particular , as well as to the other sections of society at large. The Women's Welfare association is involved in a number of welfare activities some of them worth mentioning are : |

| The Corporation caters to community services in the project sites and other remote arrears of the North East in providing basic civic amenities such as water supply, sanitation , roads & drains , street lights , maintenance of public places, basic amenity stores and postal services. |

|||
| The Corporation hosts recreational activities like occasional Yoga training classes, painting , drawing , quiz , debate, singing competitions in school. The corporation has set up Recreational parks in the project sites and encourages Sports and other cultural activities to foster a spirit of brotherhood and unity among the different community members of the Corporation. |

Million tones against 186 Billion tones of reserves in the
country. With the reserves in the N.E Region , approximately 240
MW/day can be generated for a period of 100 years.
